Our last attempt at hatching was a success as far as shipped eggs are concerned…we had 4 hatch out of 8 eggs.

Of course, as odds go, 2 were roosters, and 2 were hens. So, since we don’t keep a rooster in our flock, for a few select reasons, we had to find homes for them. The little guys were SO handsome and sweet…not to mention, Svart Hona’s, which are usually $100 chickens! We kept them with their mama until she was ready to go back to being a regular hen, and then we kept them a little longer. When they were 3 months old, I began placing ads in a few different places, and we finally found them both loving homes…where they will have lots of attention and hens to, ummm, “play rooster games with”. Anyways, I wanted to post a few pictures of the gorgeous little Prince Charmings…
