We have a camera in the coop…mostly to make sure all the chickens get into the coop safely at night. But it’s also really fun to spy and see what they are up to! When the camera is actively streaming the live feed, there is a green light that flashes, so I think the chickens are aware that we are watching them! They seem to stare right at the camera! I love seeing their little faces in close-up view, during the day and in night vision.
Welcome to Fairytale Farm...Where every day is a story, with lessons learned, and a happy ending! I am happy to share my chicken knowledge with you as I live and learn through my experiences. I will also share the other happenings and amusements that occupy my time...designing, building, sewing, crafting, baking, and some occasional mom venting/advice. So grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) and take a break to read, comment, and shop!

I love your blog about the camera in the coop. Your pictures are amazingly clear. Could you please share the brand and model of the camera you are using? I need one for my beautiful girls!
Many thanks.

So So sorry for the extremely delayed response…messages were not working on my site for some reason. The camera I use in the coop is the Ring Stick Up Camera, and I have the plug in one since I have electricity in the coop (Christmas gift from my husband, lol), but they do have a battery operated version as well. I love it! It has night vision, clear daytime view, live view, motion detection if you want it, and you can even subscribe at a small cost to allow viewing of past events.
